Solar & Roofing on Maryland's Eastern Shore

Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot, and Caroline counties — this is our backyard, and where Aperture Home and Solar is officially based.

A Recent Project · Federalsburg

Priced out by Delmarva on a fixed income. We fixed that.

An elderly homeowner in Federalsburg, living on a fixed income, was being priced out by her Delmarva Power bill. Delmarva's residential rate has more than doubled since 2020 — from 12.60¢ to 25.70¢ per kWh, a 103.97% increase — and a fixed income doesn't stretch to cover that.

We designed a solar system for her home that locked in her rate, so Delmarva's increases stop applying to her. For someone on a fixed income, that's more than savings — it's stability.

Operating out of Stevensville on Kent Island, we see firsthand how Delmarva Power's rates have hammered homeowners across the Shore — up to 25.70¢ per kWh, more than double what it was in 2020. Choptank Electric Cooperative customers across the mid-shore have felt a similar squeeze, and Easton Utilities customers in town run under yet another set of rules. This isn't an abstract stat to us; it's our own neighbors' bills.

Protection & Stability

Ready to see your numbers for the Eastern Shore?

Maryland's grid is under more strain every year, and homeowners are the ones paying for it — in higher rates and in less reliable power. Solar locks in your rate, battery backup keeps your lights on when the grid can't, and you stop riding the utility roller coaster. Zero down, zero out of pocket, zero pressure.
